Dr. Francesco Giacinto

Medical doctor specialized in Emergency Surgery and Emergency Medicine, he works at the ASP of Cosenza, where he holds positions of responsibility in the fields of wound care, surgery and regenerative medicine.
Professional Experience:
* Specialist Surgeon at the ASP of Cosenza.
* Wound Care (Vulnology) Coordinator for the ASP of Cosenza.
* Head of the Experimental Outpatient Unit for Surgery, Wound Care and Regenerative Medicine.
* Head of the Surgical Home Care (ADI) Sector in the districts of Praia a Mare–Scalea and Trebisacce.
* Former Head of surgical and wound care outpatient units in various districts of the ASP of Cosenza.
* He served for 11 years as Head of the Ultrasonographic Diagnostic Unit at Villa del Sole Clinic in Cosenza.

Education and Specializations
* Degree in Medicine and Surgery, University of Naples (1987).
* Specialization in Emergency Surgery and Emergency Medicine (1994).
* Advanced training diplomas in ultrasonographic and vascular diagnostics.
* Master’s Degree in Vascular Ultrasonographic Diagnostics, University of Florence (1998).
* National SIUMB Diploma.
* Expert in outpatient phlebological surgery and sclerotherapy.

Teaching and Scientific Activities
He has taught at universities and training schools, including:
* Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro, Master’s Degree in Wound Care.
* University of Padua and University of Naples Federico II, Master’s Degrees in Wound Care and Diabetic Foot.
* SEWC – Italian School of Excellence in Wound Care.
* SIMCRI School in Caserta.
*He has also served as a speaker, moderator and organizer at numerous congresses and training courses dedicated to wound care, chronic wounds, skin ulcers and diabetic foot.

* Member of scientific societies including SIC, SIAPAV, CIF and SIFL.
* Member of the Italian Association for Cutaneous Ulcers (AIUC) since 2008.
* Has held regional and national positions within AIUC, including Regional Coordinator for Calabria.
* Regional Coordinator for Calabria of SIMCRI for the 2024–2026 period.
* Scientific Director of training courses in Wound Care.
* Organizer and Chair of several congresses dedicated to skin ulcers.
