IMMEDIATE IMPLANT SUCCESS – New techniques allow post-estractive immediate implants in infected sockets
Autori
Abstract
Thanks to advances in dental techniques, it is now possible to place immediate implants even in previously infected sockets, ensuring both safety and predictable outcomes.
We present the case of a 57-year-old patient with mobility and pain in tooth #2, treated with atraumatic extraction followed by immediate implant placement. Infection control was achieved using ultrasonic cavitation to reduce bacterial load, combined with thorough debridement and antibiotic prophylaxis.
This case highlights how technological innovation and targeted protocols can expand treatment options, providing reliable solutions even in complex clinical situations.
